How can I access the Cloud Services?
The Cloud Services are part of the Application Suite and available in every edition. The accessible functions are based on the edition of the Application Suite.
Are there usage limits?
Your are limited to Requests which are based on the edition of your Application Suite.
Do I need programming skills to use the Cloud Services?
The Cloud Services are designed to be user-friendly hence no programming skills are requiered. However, the possibilites of the Cloud in conjunction with the API are almost limitless. Also it doesn't matter what programming language you may use because the Cloud is using standard protocols like XML and JSON via HTTP/S. Beyond that PHP, Python, Java, JavaScript and Ruby can be used to develop your own tools for the Cloud..NET © can be activated separately.
Are the Cloud Services only usable with the Application Suite?
The Cloud Services are currently only available in addition to the Application Suite. You can use the Cloud Services when participating in the BETA or with an active Application Suite access.
What do you mean by Request-Limits?
Requests will be spend once you use the Cloud Services and communicate with our servers. For example, if you upload data into your online storage it will spend one (1) Request. Important: Not every service spends Requests. Some services and tools will only spend one (1) Request per hour. Important: A Request will always be counted as a full connection to the Cloud Service, regardless of the amount of transferred data.
Are there any data transfer limits?
There are no transfer limits or additional charges for data transfer. The billing of the Cloud Services is solely based on the Requests.
Are there Request limits in the BETA?
There is no limit of Requests during the BETA. Hence you can use the Cloud Services independently of Request-Limits, but corresponding limits that take effect after the BETA will be pointed out.
When will the Cloud Services officially be available?
The Cloud Services will probably be released slightly after the official release of the Application Suite.
